The quality of service indicators for the year 2022 remain below the maximum thresholds established in Royal Decree 1955/2000.

The basic global quality indicators according to Royal Decree 1955/2000 are the Average Interruption Time (AIT) and Non-Supplied Energy (NSE).

In the national electricity system, 31 supply interruptions were recorded in 2022, 41 % more than in 2021. This increase in the incidence of outages is reflected in the ENS, which has increased compared to the previous year (562 MWh in 2022 compared to 221 MWh in 2021). Likewise, the AIT has reached a value of 1.18 minutes (0.45 minutes in 2021), results that are well below the reference value of 15 minutes established in article 26.2 of Royal Decree 1955/2000. The main incident occurred at Gran Tarajal 66 kV on the island of Fuerteventura, with an ENS of 270 MWh.

The continuity of supply indicators of the peninsular electricity system showed a decrease in 2022 compared to the previous year. Sixteen supply interruptions were recorded, which together accounted for an ENS of 140 MWh (188 MWh in 2021) and a TIM of 0.31 minutes (0.41 minutes in 2021). In the Balearic Islands electricity system, the indicators of continuity of supply in 2022 increased compared to the previous year, with six supply interruptions recorded, representing an ENS of 7 MWh (1 MWh in 2021) and a TIM of 0.61 minutes (0.07 minutes in 2021). Finally, a similar situation occurred in the Canary Islands electricity system, with the ENS standing at 415 MWh (corresponding to nine supply interruptions) and the AIT at 25.51 minutes. Despite these increases in the non-peninsular systems, the continuity of supply indicators remain below the permitted limits.
