The report presents an overview of the role of renewable energy in Spain in 2016 and how it has evolved over recent years. It is divided into four main chapters: Energy from the wind, Energy from water, Energy from the sun and Energy from the Earth and sea, and a fifth one that consolidates the data included in the aforementioned chapters and which is entitled 'Renewable energy in 2016'. The latter has been included at the beginning of the report as the first chapter in order to provide the reader with an initial overview of the behaviour of renewable energy during the year.
